The New England LEGO® Users Group
Welcome! NELUG is the largest and oldest club in New England that was established primarily for supporting adult LEGO enthusiasts. Our non-profit group is run by fans for fans.

We enjoy the LEGO hobby in our own ways…
Collecting
Building
Designing
If you ever watched The LEGO Movie, and you recall scenes including the boy’s Dad, surrounded by his hobby in the family basement… well, that may resemble us. No glue here though! And we try to keep it fun for everyone.
…but also as a LUG.

So, what exactly is a “LUG?” Our LEGO Users Group formed to help local adults share their hobby and meet other, like-minded people. While group participation is not required, it is greatly encouraged. We support a diverse range of skills and passions, but our primary goal is camaraderie.

Spreading the word
You may have seen some of our members on popular social media channels—or, even local TV. While many of us identify as introverts, NELUGers are not shy about our love for the brick!
Part of our activity includes outreach into local communities. We enjoy helping newcomers to enter the hobby, supporting partnering local museums and organizations, and highlighting the importance of play in the lives of all people.
All the while, we try to set a positive example of professionalism to other fan groups, and demonstrate our respect for the LEGO brand. NELUG is proud to be officially recognized by The LEGO Company as a registered LEGO User Group, or “RLUG.” RLUGs use the LEGO Ambassador Network (LAN) to collaborate, engage and knowledge-share with other AFOL communities but also with The LEGO Group itself. One designated NELUG member always acts as representative and communicator on the LAN—where some of the world’s most active and innovative AFOL communities gather.

Making the impossible… possible!
When Adult Fans of LEGO (or, AFOLs) get together, there’s no limit to what can be accomplished. NELUGers tend to dream big. In decades past, NELUG has been known for its ground-breaking in the hobby, being one of the first clubs to organize, to take on commissions, to display publicly, and to partner with the LEGO Company in the US on projects. Over the years, members have enjoyed traveling together to display at national and international gatherings, such as BrickWorld in Chicago, BrickFair in Virginia, and Skaerbaek Fan Weekend in Denmark. NELUG has set or broken World Records for the speed, area, and length of their builds. And some of our most talented members have been recruited by LEGO—relocating to Billund, where they have fulfilled a dream and add their own creative spark to the company and its products.
If you are interested in large-scale collaborations, but have no idea how to make your ideas reality, or you have an urge to contribute your creativity and spirit to something bigger—have a chat with some members of our club! We offer a free one-month trial membership, where you can visit our forums and get a feel for what we do. Or, use the public calendar to drop by an in-person meeting or event. We welcome your big dreams.
How can we help you?
Would your organization, event, or venue like to host a NELUG display or activity? You are welcome to submit information via [this form] about your needs. While we cannot guarantee a response to every message we receive, we will pass your information through to our private forums for consideration by our membership. Provided there is significant interest from members, in volunteering their time and resources, we will get back to you for further discussion.
Are you an adult LEGO fan, potentially interested in membership?
